"Slipping Away" is an example of one of my small
works. Conceived when I was on yet another late night
return home. Looking at the scene, I became preoccupied
with the feeling of the day slipping away.
Not in a negative, loss kind-of-way, but in a celebratory
way. Thinking about everything that was accomplished,
all the new ideas inspired by most of the day's new acquaintances,
and glad that I was able to lay another brick on my wall
of memories.
That moment when the last burst of color slips over the
horizon is probably a good time to take inventory on the
day. Looking back, just for a second, before moving on
to the next. |
