Over the course of history,
artists very often have served as the voice of the people.
Through the vehicle of their work, they are able to point
out or draw attention to the ironies in life and the occasional
flaws in our social structure.
David Leese tends to move in this direction from time
to time. He likes to assume the position of social observer
and enjoys pushing an idea to its extreme.
Through these efforts, he tries to avoid finality by providing
the viewer with an opportunity to consider another viewpoint.
